Rooted in jazz, blues, and rock, guitarist Jeff Golub spent time with Rod Stewart and other stars before his first solo album, 1988's Unspoken Words. He formed Avenue Blue a few years later to explore the softer side of blues and jazz. The self-titled release also features trumpeter/flugelhornist Rick Braun, drummer David Palmer, keyboardist Kevin Savagar, acoustic bassist Jack Daro, and electric bassist Cliff Hugo.
